Bauer Auto Center

I threw a serpentine belt last weekend and found myself stranded in the middle of 48th and State with a completely dead battery. Two wonderful gentlemen stopped to help me and got me home. I texted the shop I have done business with for years (we always text) asking about replacement cost, and I never even got a response except to say I would need to pay $50 for an inspection first. I again asked, after that, if nothing else is wrong, how much will it cost? After 5 days, I'm still waiting for a reply. I went into Bauer Auto Center, and they went to my house within 2 hours, got my battery and took it to their shop and charged it, went back to my house, put the battery in my car and drove it back to their shop. They inspected it, found nothing else wrong, and replaced the belt. This was all done within a little over 24 hours from when I first walked into their shop. I'm still waiting to hear from the other shop. If they do ever get back to me, I will tell them they have lost a customer of over 20 years. Bauer now definitely has a new customer, and I will happily recommend them to anyone needing fast, honest, very reasonably priced service. (The total cost wasn't a lot more than the $50 inspection the other shop wanted)!
