I am baffled at some of these reviews and now feel compelled to leave one myself. When you walk into Goode Animal Health Care you are paying for services with state of the art equipment, care from a knowledgeable doctor passionate about continuing education, and true quality care. At the end of the day are there slightly cheaper clinics to go to..? Sure. But the cold hard truth is you get what you pay for. This clinic is run by two people who pour their heart and soul into this job. I wouldn't go anywhere else. (A big shout out to the staff as well - knowledgeable, friendly, and true animal lovers!)

This veterinary clinic practices Quality medicine in a compassionate and caring manner! You are more than just another client walking through the door! The veterinarian is very professional and has many specialist that he consults with to provide the BEST medical care possible! We all know that there are always more negative comments than positive comments made. Disgruntled people always have more to say! In my opinion, if you want a veterinary hospital with caring staff and expertise, this should be your choice!

Dr. Goode is thorough, professional, patient, and kind. I couldn't be more pleased with his services (he's treated my three cats and my dog) and I highly recommend him. (For those who are complaining that the medications cost more at his clinic than what they cost online -- you aren't just paying for the medication, you're paying for the expertise that comes with knowing they need to be prescribed in the first place.)

I rated this place one start because zero was not an option. I brought my dog in for an ear infection and a consultation to remove rear dewclaws. Never got a quote for the rear dewclaws and it cost me 250 dollars for prednisone, smz (sulfa-antibiotics), and prosatex ear drops. Each of these drugs is available online 0.15 per prednisone, 0.19 per smz, and 17.00 for the drops. Just save yourself hundreds of dollars and commute to the springs.

Dr. Goode diagnosed my dog with pancreatitis and dental problems. After spending a small fortune, I decided to get a second opinion on $1000 to $1500 worth of dental work (I just spent over $650 for a teeth cleaning). When he was examined by my new vet, she immediately noticed he had swollen lymph nodes and, after testing, was diagnosed with cancer. Dr. Goode NEVER noticed the swollen glands. My heart is broken that I put my dog through all the unnecessary procedures when he only has a few months to live.

Okay vet, but be prepared to spend a lot of money! I have had cats all my life, as well as rescued, and have used a good many vets. Their service costs are a little above average, but if your pet needs meds, be prepared to pay ridiculous prices, and they will not price match. They did not have the drug our pet needed and wanted us to wait a day. I suggested using the pharmacy, as I was going to be out of town. He wanted to charge us just under $22.00 for using another pharmacy (remember, he didn't have it), and the other drug we bought was 7 pills for about $26, when online the price was $4.99 for 100 pills. The drug that was not in stock was approx. $78 from him, but online was $32 for suspension or $19.00 for pills. I understand markup, but this is ridiculous...not to mention you want to charge me for writing a prescription because you do not have a drug. I gave him a 2 because the staff was friendly, he appeared to evaluate her well, but when I complained the staff told me to go back to my old vet. (Not a good way to get new customers) They also marked their drugs up ridiculously, and did not offer price match, as many veterinarians do. I would go back if I was desperate, but ONLY if I was. Quite frankly I will use my former vet in Denver or one in the Springs.
