La Bella

I love authentic Southern Italian food and have been so happy to find LaBella!

The restaurant was recommended by a former co-worker several months ago before they started their renovations, and since I have been a devoted customer, as I watched the restaurant being transformed into a warm and inviting place.



I have tried many dishes but my favorites are the Veal Frances which is so tender and perfectly seasoned and lemony, and the Seafood Pesce which has an abundance of shrimp, scallops and mussels and clams. I have tried the Seafood Pesce with several different sauces including garlic and oil and the red sauce., all very good.



Our server Corrine is excellent and always makes some good suggestions. The owners are lovely people and I enjoy giving them business because they are so appreciative. It is so much nicer to support a local hard working family than to dine at a corporate restaurant, such as The OLive Garden or 99.



The renovations really add atmosphere of an Italian country home.

I have booked my company party this April in their function room.

FYI Ladies--check out the gorgeous wallpaper in the restroom.

The restaurant also as an advantage over the ones down town Portsmouth because there is lots of parking, and worth the trip out route #1.



My husband and I will celebrate Valentine's Day there!
