Crooks, just like most of the other mechanics are.

I read the the reviews and thought I could trust these folks. I am confident now that I was wrong and I will never recommend and I will never go back.

I had my check engine light come on. I took my car to an auto parts store and used their obd2 tester and it spit out a code of p0850 park/neutral switch. So I did my research on Google and in the Nissan forums and found out it is more commonly known as a neutral safety switch and can be moderately serious to rebuilding your transmission serious.

So I called these guys. I told them what the code was and what I was dealing with, they said to go ahead and bring it in and they'd get it looked at. Took it to them and they charged me $125 to tell me I was right and sent me to a transmission shop because they don't do that kind of work.

You may or may not have had a good experience with these folks and I hope you do but from these eyes I told them what was wrong, they took my car in anyways and charged me dealership hourly diagnostic rates to tell me I was correct in the first place. Also in these eyes that's just downright wrong.

Screw you Scholl's Ferry Automotive and every chance I get to talk or write bad about you I will do so with fervor. I seriously wish your karma on you and your family and everyone you know.

Absolutely horrible experience. I took our 2000 subaru outback over to have the bearings looked at. Received a call that the entire hub and bearings needed to be replaced a long with my battery and maybe the brake pad for that tire as well. The whole job would cost $1000... I'm a 25 year old woman and that is a huge amount of money. I told them I would call back in a little bit since I was on my way to work.
Ended up googling the parts and discovered that the whole hub and bearings assembly cost $75... And took about 1 hour to replace.. I called back and asked them to break down the costs for me. During this process the story and the price drastically changed. According to the manager they needed to remove the hub and send it off to a machine shop, then they needed to replace the brake pads on the left side of the car (you need to replace the front ones at the same time so they are even and not the left from and left back brakes...), then he said my battery had been plugged in all night and hadn't charged. When I asked for the price again, it went from $1000 to $1300!!!! I told him I would call right back. Called 3 other mechanics about the hub and bearings replacement alone. Guess what they said? It would cost between $300 and $500!! When I told them the price that Scholls Ferry Automotive had given me, they told me to run. I told my fiance who called scholls ferry and told them that we would be taking the car somewhere else and said they should be ashamed for trying to rip off a woman. He asked if they had removed anything from the car. They hadn't. They only did a visual diagnostic and were still going to charge us $50. We went to pick it up and they changed the price from $50 to $60.43.. When my fiance said that wasn't the price we discussed on the phone, the manager replied in a condescending tone that he had said "six zero and not 50".
As we were leaving he yelled after us that the car was completely dead.. Funny how that works huh? It was, so we called AAA. They came out and with just one try the battery was back up and running. The battery technician inspected the battery and it was in PERFECT working condition. He said they were obviously trying to cheat me and I should have told them to pound sand.

Go somewhere else. Anywhere else. Run as fast as you can!!

Bandits

$99/hour for labor?!?
2.5 hours to put on a BELT?!?

Keep looking. I wish this place had more accurate reviews on here. I only chose it because it had so many stars and was making a rush decision.

These guys are the best, I'm not kidding!

I've been to many shops before and I felt like they would always talked down to me like I'm an idiot. Grant it, I am an idiot when it comes to cars, but that doesn't mean I want to be treated like one.

The counter guys Kris and Gabe are the best! They've always treated me with respect, and explained my car problems in detail and in terms even I could understand.

Also, they've always done their best to try to keep the cost down so I don't have to sell an arm and a leg to afford their service. Which for someone as broke as me is a godsend.

In short, I will never let anyone else touch my car ever again! They've earned a customer for life!
