The Bridge is a 10-plus-bed facility that serves as an emergency residence for homeless adults with mental disorders. It provides a supportive environment and treatment services. The Bridge is a part of YAI - Youth Alternatives Ingraham, which is a nonprofit organization. Founded in 1967, YAI - Youth Alternatives Ingraham offers a range of community support services, such as assessment, individual service planning, crisis intervention and advocacy. It provides case management, psychiatric evaluation and counseling services. The organization additionally conducts several residential programs for children, adults and families. It also offers training and consulting services on several topics that include suicide prevention, substance abuse and depression in the workplace. The Bridge is located in Portland, Maine.
