Pine Shadow Retreat

I recently took a tour of this facility which I was told was rebranded under new management. I have to say I thought I was walking into a funeral home. It's very dark and one of the reasons I visited was to consider moving a loved one there from a similar setting. I don't need dark surroundings as my loved one needs somewhere open and airy and not dark and dank! Administrator looked at me like I was from Mars.

Out of my 22yrs of living. I never seen a horrible place like touchstone. The administrative looks down on you. The nurses will lie on you. The upper people in the office will not land a hand to help when short of staff. They don't shower the residents like they should. They keep them on the same clothes for weeks. I never ever want to work for them again. Its always short of help. It needs to be shut down. They have bed bugs roaches mice and a lot more. I will never put any of my family in there. Just from working there. I seen people bring there family in to get therapy next thing u know they passed away. They let so many good workers go that's been there for year's. All the people that's in the office will lie on you. I feel sorry for whoever put there family in there. Run from that place. I never worked at a stressful and disrespectful place like touchstone. For them to call there self a christian community maybe they should rethink about calling there self a christian community.

where to begin? work there for 10 seem many bad things. seen people not get treatment and lead to needless deaths. they don't follow the menus hardly at all. if you a diabetic good luck, they give sugary products to them 2 or 3 times a day. if your on a salt restricted diet, well your food has a lot of added salt in it. The kitchen is dirty roaches and mice call it home also. Not a place i would like to see my loved ones in

If I could give this facility negative stars I would. It is deplorable. This is a place where you take your love ones to die. If they are in any way of a sound mind embody, then this is not the place for your loved one. The patients are not bathe on a regular basis, they are entertained by frivolous games that a lot of them cannot play, they are encouraged to spend all day every day in a wheelchair, even if they cannot utilize the wheelchair correctly come they are still encouraged to stay in it all day. The home is dated, has a horrible smell, and a lot of the workers just don't care about their patients. So if you are looking to just dump your loved one somewhere to get them out of your hair this is the place for you! But if you love your loved one do not under any circumstances take them to pine shadows retreat. Because if they're not dead when they get there, they will be drugged until they are dead!
