Following residency Dr. Braaksma completed two 1-year fellowship programs. Dr. Braaksma spent 1-year at the world-renowned Harborview Medical Center/University of Washington in Seattle Washington where he completed a foot-and-ankle fellowship with a heavy emphasis on operative fixation of lower extremity fractures and total ankle replacements. He went on to complete a 1-year adult total hip and knee replacement fellowship at Cleveland Clinic Florida.
