Maryland Fried Chicken

i was born and raised in plant city florida and we have a huge maryland fried chicken there and we ate there at least once per week. the place to this day is always packed and its best to call your order in before you go. i never knew that they were a chain so as i began to travel as an adult i found out they are in several states. you have them in orlando, several in myrtle beach, a few in pennsylvania, ohhh there are just a bunch of them. go to www.marylandfriedchicken.com to see all of them.

but this review is about the one in pompano beach fl. its a small place and they dont have the big signs out front which the maryland fried chicken is known for so you miss it if you dont know what you are looking for. there is no better fried chicken in the world than maryland fried. they use like over 22 herbs and spices and the chicken is preasure cooked and seals the juices in very well. i almost compared it to kfc but i think kfc is horrible so i wont do that.

they have great coleslaw. and the best thing about maryland fried chicken that i like so well is that they are consistently good no matter where i have been of course im partial to my hometown store and so far i think plant city florida has the biggest maryland fried chicken thats out there. if you ever visit plant city which is the strawberry capital of the world you should go visit maryland fried. they are in a great location next to the south florida baptist hospital.

I dine ther at least once a week The chicken is great. i love the wings. I travell 9 miles each way to get there. I could just be sitting at home and I think about the chicken. The next thing I know, I am in the car.. I have my family members 'hooked'. on it. .

It was not good. If you could ignore the parade of homeless people walking by the window, some of them coming inside, the atmosphere was at least quiet.

They don't serve FRIED chicken. It is BROASTED with no batter or any flavor. The French fries were okay. Add your own salt. The onion rings were pretty bad and had a strange flavor. I was very disappointed. You WILL get your food quickly because it's been sitting out under a HEAT lamp for who knows how long. It wasn't at all what I had expected. A couple of people had recommended the place. They obviously need their head examined. Hah! Sorry. Don't waste your money.
