Steve's Appliance Repair

I have a Maytag washer, it started making a loud roaring noise during the spin cycle. I googled it, every site said it was the bearings, so I called around to get a quote. I called 3 other appliance repair companies before calling Steve’s, and all 3 told me that they would not quote over the phone, but would charge me a $60 service call to come out and give me a quote, which then if i had the work done by them they would waive the fee. I explained to all of them that I didn’t want to pay a service fee just find out the repair would cost more than a new washer, and wasn’t there any way they could give me a ball park price. None would, they said i had to pay their technician a service fee first. I called Steve, explained to him exactly the same as I did all the others and he immediately said to me - " Don’t fix it, it’s not worth it, it’s too expensive to fix, you have both inner and outer bearings and the labor and parts would be a lot of money". I really appreciate his honesty, and integrity. He didn’t try to get me to be on the hook for a service call just so he could make a big repair sale. I will remember this company and will call him again and recommend him to my friends.
