Labor and Delivery
Even today’s “natural” childbirth methods can affect an infant’s spine. Colic, unusual crying, poor appetite or erratic sleeping habits can be signs of spinal distress. Adjustments are gentle. Knowing exactly where to adjust, no more pressure than you’d use to test the ripeness of a tomato is involved.

Ultrasound
Ultrasound Therapy is a chiropractic treatment used to help reduce muscle pain and increase range of motion. By using sound waves, we are able to stimulate deep inside the tissue. This minimizes stiffness, swelling, and pain while also promoting circulation, and pain-free movement.
MRI
Patients receive a warm friendly reception when they arrive. They fill out some brief paperwork about the reason for their visit. Patients should bring with them X-Rays and/or MRI reports if they have had them taken in the past. Any other tests pertinent to their current condition should be brought with them as well. After filling out the paperwork, they will meet with Dr. Herman for a consultation followed by an examination. They should be prepared to discuss the history of the current problem, as well as any other past health history. After the exam it will be determined if X-Rays will be needed before any treatment can be administered. Patients generally leave the office knowing whether they can be helped by Dr. Herman. They should expect to spend 45 minutes to one hour from the time they arrive to the time they leave.
Computed Tomography
I was having a terrible problem with headaches. I was seeing a neurologist and could not find anything wrong. He sent me first for a CT scan. Results negative. Next came an MRI. Results negative. Next came a Spinal Tap. Results negative. I was unable to go to work for over two weeks due to the on heavy pain meds I was on.

Whiplash
One of the most well-known injuries caused by auto accidents is whiplash, but it isn’t the only one that affects the back and neck.
