        Service King opened in 1976 when Edward Lennox purchased an existing paint and body shop operating in a small tin building with a hand painted sign in Dallas. In the next 12 years, five locations were opened successfully in Arlington, Mesquite, Carrollton, Irving and Plano, Texas. In 1996, Lennox decided that Service King would expand within the Dallas/Ft.Worth area under his ownership. Since then, it has opened 12 additional locations, for a total of 17 repair facilities in the DFW Metroplex. Not only is Service King the largest paint and body operation in the area, but is also one of the top five independently owned and operated collision repair organizations in the United States.
