I had the misfortune of visiting the Verizon Wireless Zone location in Fox Chapel, PA on June 18. This is the same location where I purchased my iPhone 4 in May of 2012. I was happy with the service I received in 2012 and the woman who sold me my phone convinced me to purchase a warranty, ensuring me that if anything happened to my phone, it would be fully covered and I would receive a brand new phone FREE OF CHARGE. Of course, I paid the additional $130 to protect myself from any type of accident that may occur. The sales associate even said if my phone was lost or stolen, all I had to do was file a police report and I would receive a new phone FREE OF ANY TYPE OF CHARGE. I went to the Fox Chapel location yesterday with 100% confidence that I would walk out of there with a new phone since I purchased the warranty I was told would be effective until I was due for another upgrade, 22 months from when I purchased my iPhone 4. Much to my dismay, I feel as if I have been cheated and the sales associate told me, "I'm not sure what the person who sold you your phone told you, but the money you paid for a warranty was a deductible, and you still have to pay $150 to get a new phone. She completely disregarded what I had been told when I purchased my phone as if it wasn't her problem. I'm sorry, but that is not the way customer service works. A successful company cares about its customers and the promises that were made to them and accepts accountability and responsibilty. I know what I was told when I bought my iPhone 4. I want the Fox Chapel Verizon Wireless Zone to honor the commitment that was made to me. The sales associate who "helped" me was busy talking with the person who I believe was the manager and another employee about their shifts the next day while I was standing there still waiting for the situation to be explained to me. The manager said my warranty was no longer effective since I had the phone for over a year. I received a casual shoulder shrug when I said I had been told my warranty would not expire until my next upgrade in 22 months. The sales associate and manager continued to make small talk as I stood there, and did not even give me a farewell as I left. To them, they were not making a sale, so they did not care about my situation at all once they realized I was not backing down and would not pay $150 when I had been told by associates at that same store I would not have to. I'm not threatening, I'm just stating a fact. I will write as many bad reviews about this location as the internet will allow me to until this issue is resolved and I receive my promised iPhone 4. The staff at this location left much to be desired. I hope they do not have customer service representatives as their titles, because the only people being serviced were one another with their own pointless personal conversations. It's a shame Verizon allows shady businesses like this one to use their name and steal from unsuspecting people who think they are walking into a normal Verizon store. The iPhone 4's are being passed out for free now with upgrades, and I can't get one that I paid a warranty for? I really hope someone holds this store accountable for its broken promises and disrespectful staff

My husband and I stopped in to look at new smart phones and met with David. We pointed out several times we were just gathering information and not planning on buying that day. Nonetheless, David sat us down and gave us his complete attention despite the store being busy. He expertly explained our options which met our needs perfectly and saved us a significant amount of money on our monthly bill. We came back a few days later to purchase our new phones (love them!!). David gave us a great discount and seemed genuinely eager to help us. We're now looking into Verizon fios based on his recommendations. Thank you!
