Firstly, the dive instructors are GREAT. ....HOWEVER, the scheduling staff made 4 repeated errors as to when/if I was driving up 1.5 hours from WV to take the pool part of the training. For t schedule did not match their "book" and it took several phone calls to get dates that were real. Then I drove up the first time and found I could not take the first class because I needed an MD ok. This was after being told on the phone by staff no problem... Caution is ok but good information is better. Finally I came for 2nd class as i was told to after my first rescheduled training and they had my file but NO EQUIPMENT for me. Happily a classmate had extra...after I got home I called and I was told I "wasn't on the schedule". I called to confirm with owner and no apology was offered, just an indirect blame it was my fault. I am a businesswoman and would NEVER treat customers this way.

Their only mission is making money and will use enthusiastic young Dive Masters and instructors to lead trips with little or no compensation. They will try to sell anything to anyone no matter how badly suited the equipment is to the diver. I strongly suspect all the four and five star reviews posted are authored by Splash owners. If you want to get certified and live in Pittsburgh, go to them. But, if you want to purchase equipment, have a look at the selections here and at other dive shops, then go online and make the purchase. You'll save a ton of money; and regardless what Splash tells you, online dealers equipment IS under factory warranty (just make sure they're an authorized dealer). I've been a Splash customer for over 5 years now and I am pleased to say that I have only great things to say about them! The instructors and the store employees are always eager to talk about diving and share fun stories and advice. They have helped me pick out all my gear and I don't regret any purchases. I have the best of the best. There's really no other option in Pittsburgh if you want the best scuba experience possible!

I would highly recommend Splash Water Sports to any of my friends. The staff is highly knowledgeable! They also offer a chance to go diving pretty much ANYTIME you want!! It's a shame that the rating bar only goes to 5 stars should be more like 10!

I have dealt with plenty dive shops in Pittsburgh and all over the world over the years and Splash Water sports is by far the most capable of meeting my scuba diving needs. They promote the sport like no other and provide ample opportunities to dive and socialize with Scuba diving peers. The instruction that they provide is beyond compare and they actually teach you to dive opposed to just being a cert card mill. I feel that Splash instructors prepared me for anything that I may encounter in the open water and even gave me the skills to assist other divers. Some of the divers I have run into form other shops quite frankly scare me.

Great Service, great selection of gear, large collection of rentals, highly trained in all fields. Stop by if you want quality help!!!!

Been to many dive shops over the years found splash staff highly knowledgable and helpful. The store itself engages in multiple fund raising events throughout the year with the treasure being my favorite. All proceeds go to the designated charity Their inventory is top of the line and the equipment service is excellent. Easily five stars.

I have been dealing with Splash Water Sports for years. The sales staff are highly professional and treat their customers with the upper most respect. I consistently recommend this divhave never be shoppe to my friends and fellow divers.

Finally a found a dive shop that is run like a real business instead of out of a garage. the staff although a mixed bag of characters are knowledgable. We had a scuba review and the instructor was patient and helped us get ready for our trip to the caribbean.

Discover Scuba was a BLAST!! Can't wait to start lessons with these folks!!!

The salesman was incredibly rude. When I asked for help picking out a mask for snorkelling, he basically laughed in my face. I don't understand how they are still in business with this attitude. 1 star is an overstatement :(

If you don't anything about scuba, these guys will take you for everything you got. You have other choices, DON'T go here!

Don't look for customer service here. They are only happy as long as you are spending your money.
