In these cases, it is important to see an ophthalmologist prior to your consultation to have an ‘untapped and taped visual fields exam’ to determine if you have enough excess skin affecting your visual fields that it may be covered by your insurance. In an individual who has a previous history of ocular disease, like detached retina or glaucoma, it is important to retain a clearance from your ophthalmologist.

Liposuction is a procedure that can help sculpt the body by removing unwanted fat from specific areas, including the abdomen, hips, buttocks, thighs, knees, upper arms, chin, cheeks and neck. During the past decade, liposuction, which is also known as “lipoplasty” or “suction lipectomy,” has benefited from several new refinements. Today, a number of new techniques, including ultrasound-assisted lipoplasty (UAL), the tumescent technique, and the super-wet technique, are helping many plastic surgeons to provide selected patients with more precise results and quicker recovery times. Although no type of liposuction is a substitute for dieting and exercise, liposuction can remove stubborn areas of fat that don’t respond to traditional weight-loss methods.

Ear Surgery
Individuals considering ear surgery, also known as otoplasty, are often looking to address prominent ears, large ears, and/or asymmetrical ears. The goal of the surgery is to improve cosmetic appearance by moving the prominent ear back closer to the head or to reduce the size of large ears. For the most part, the operation is done on children between the ages of 4 and 14 years old. Ears are almost fully grown by age six, and the earlier the surgery, the less teasing and ridicule the child will have to endure. Eyelid Surgery
As women and men age, they commonly experience drooping of their upper eyelids and bags of their lower eyelids, features that make you look older and more tired than you actually feel. Upper eyelid surgery addresses the excess skin and soft tissue of the upper eyelids, while lower eyelid surgery addresses the excess skin, fat (bags), and rhytids of the lower eyelids. It does not address crow’s feet, dark circles, or sagging of the eyebrows. Many patients opt to have both upper and lower lids done at the same time; however, the option of separating upper and lower eyelids is always available.
Liposuction
As women and men age, they may become bothered by the excess skin and fat of their arms, often patient’s will describe their arms as flabby and loose. An armlift, otherwise known as brachioplasty, is a surgical procedure best described as removal of the excess skin and fat of the arms creating an improved contour and more youthful appearance. In some instances, your plastic surgeon may recommend that liposuction be used alone or in conjunction with an arm lift to remove excess fat in the upper arms.

Over the years, factors such as pregnancy, nursing, and gravity take their toll on a women’s breasts. As breast skin loses its elasticity, the breasts often begin to sag and therefore lose their round shape and firmness. A breast lift, also known as mastopexy, is a surgical procedure to lift and reshape sagging breasts. Mastopexy can also reduce the size of the areola, the darker skin surrounding the nipple. Mastopexy may be performed in conjunction with breast augmentation if you desire a breast lift, as well as increase in volume.
Breast Reduction
Breast reduction, medically known as a reduction mammoplasty, is a surgical procedure to decrease the size of large breasts, as well as lift sagging breasts. The best candidates for breast reduction are women with very large, pendulous breasts. They also may be experiencing a variety of medical problems from the excessive breast weight, including but not limited to: joint pain, shoulder grooving from brassieres, skeletal deformities, skin irritation or rashes under the breasts, and breathing problems.
Breast Lift

Thigh Lift
A thigh lift, also known as thighplasty, is a surgical procedure which reshapes the thighs by reducing excess skin and fat resulting in smoother skin and improved contour. In some instances, your plastic surgeon may recommend that liposuction be used alone or in conjunction with a thigh lift to remove excess fat in the thighs. In cases where skin elasticity is poor, a combination of liposuction and thigh lift techniques may be recommended.

Gynecomastia
Gynecomastia refers to a condition in which the male breast tissue becomes overly developed. This usually is due to hormonal changes or weight gain. In cases where the tissue is mainly comprised of fat, liposuction is usually sufficient in reducing it. However, when there’s a high gland component, liposuction is first recommended to take as much excess fat as possible and then a small periareolar incision is made to extract the glandular tissue, which may sometime leave a small subtle mark. On extreme cases where excess skin is an issue, a breast lift would be needed.

Chemical peels provide a “controlled” chemical exfoliation of the skin.
