Dr. Jay Herman is dedicated to serving the urological needs of Western PA and the surrounding areas. Dr. Herman strives to provide state-of-the-art diagnosis and treatment. He treats each patient as a partner in his or her medical care and makes patient education a central component of his care. Because many urological conditions are accompanied by social discomfort or embarrassment, he emphasizes sensitivity and discretion when dealing with all of his patients' concerns. As an urologist, Dr. Herman is highly trained to treat disorders of the male and female urinary tract (bladder, ureter, kidney and urethra) and the male reproductive system. Some of the more common conditions that a urologist treats include benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), bladder control problems, erectile dysfunction (impotence), prostate cancer, prostate disorders and urinary incontinence.
