They came out in a reasonable amount of time, but charged $59 for the service call plus they wanted $180 to run a snake through a 10 foot piece of drain pipe to determine if it was frozen. It was a drain pipe (which shouldn't be frozen since it's non pressurized) and if it turned out to be damaged, they would have charged more to fix the problem. So here's the rundown:
$60 to drive to the house + $180 to run a snake for 3 minutes = $240
I sent them away and bought a snake at Home Depot for $27. Hopefully that clears out the clog in the drain, but either way I'm glad I didn't move forward with them since their prices are very high. If you're looking at having them clear your drains, I'd recommend going to a local plumber and not a franchise like this.

I have yet to call for the service... But if a plumbing issue ever occurs... Benjamin Franklin Plumbing is who you and I better call. A guy who is a great speaker/worker for the company. Definitely has my referral down for your plumbing issues and questions. Just pick up the phone, because the call is FREE... Thank you for ALL Benjamin Franklin Plumbing!

Buyer beware! This outfit charged me >$250 to install a kitchen faucet. They were in my house for 40 mins. I supplied the faucet -- this was just their installation fee. A web search suggests that their price is maybe $100 over the typical cost.

I have never written a review before, I am just not that type of person, but after my expeience I had to. What do you do when the temperature is 25 degrees outside and the gas company shuts off you service due to a leak 2 days before Christmas...CALL BENJAMIN FRANKLIN!! Friendly and punctual yes, but lets face it...The real question is how much is this going to cost? The answer for me was half of what the others guys bid. Well over half. They showed up when they said they would, dug all day in the cold by hand, and saved me money. All I can say is Thank You to Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and to anyone else who needs a plumber, give them a call.
