Cousin Gary's Family Restaurant

Stopped at Cousin Gary's on the way through Pilot Mountain looking for a good home cooked dinner. My girlfriend and I went in and found a decent looking buffet with breakfast fare which was the usual for Tuesdays. Not wanting breakfast for dinner we ordered from the menu. I ordered the open face turkey sandwich and my girlfriend ordered the crab cakes. The open faced turkey sandwich was made with slices of turkey loaf and not real turkey and was served with beef gravy and not turkey gravy, This was a real disappointment! The crab cakes were served nearly burnt on the outside and barely warm on the inside. When I commented on the meal when paying the bill, the cashier merely said they should "probably" mention in the menu that beef gravy comes on the turkey sandwich and that when they cook the crab cakes "maybe" we should flatten them a little more so they cook through. No offer of a discount or apology. A REPEAT VISIT TO GARY'S WILL NOT HAPPEN!.
