This is a great and convenient hair salon! I've been a loyal customer since its opening and I recommend this place to everyone I know. I drive 45 minutes to this salon and I have not gone to any one else to have them install my weaves since I've been a customer here. It is a very friendly atmosphere and the staff and stylists treat their customers with respect. My hair is nice and long and healthy. The stylists are professional and know alot about hair care! I love getting quality customer service, which the offer time after time. Customers have the option of bringing in the hair they want to have installed or purchasing bundles of hair from The Weave Cafe. The hair that can be purchased from The Weave Cafe is great! I always get the virgin hair.... it lasts a long time and they even color the hair if you want, and it is worth every penny!

You get what you pay for and what you get at The Weave Cafe is a hot ghetto mess. Please believe all the negative reviews. I wish I had read them before I went there. First of all I called to schedule an appointment and was told just to come in. I arrived at 1:30 pm and waited approximately 2 hours for my service. Once the braider finally took me back, she started my hair and then stopped halfway through. She said she would be right back. After about 15 minutes of waiting for her to come "right back," I went to look for her and she was eating. I asked her if she could finish my hair because I didn't want to be there all day. She said ok and returned in about 5 minutes. She then finished braiding my hair and sewed in the back. That went fine. Then I was sent over to a "licensed stylist." OK, I only saw one license hanging in the "salon" and it was not the girl who did my hair. Still the sew in process went pretty well until we got to the top and the girl had to blend my natural 4b hair in with a tight curly hair texture. To make a long story short, I had to tell her what to do and it still didn't look right. At that point, I said that I would leave and fix it myself and I got TONS of attitude for it. As I was leaving, I expressed my disappointment with the experience. A young brownskin lady with blue contact lenses then jumped up and started to argue with me. At this point, after being their for 5 hours, I had enough! I had some choice words for the young lady with the blue contact lenses and left. The young lady proceeded to follow me out the salon, up the street and confronted me as if she wanted to fight me. I guess she's not as dumb as she looks so she didn't and I left.

Yes the "stylist" are unprofessional and I doubt they are licensed, but if you want to wait 5 hours for a cheap weave, this is the place for you.

Ok, let me start off by saying I do not write reviews, however, I had to write a review about Weave cafe. This was the most wonderful experience ever. Previously i went to another salon similar to this salon and my experience was not pleasant. I had to take the weave out after two weeks because it was horrible So, because I was going on vacation, and I wanted my hair to look nice . So, I took the weave out and went to Weave Cafe. Let me say, I am so happy. The employees are so pleasant. I love this salon. I will be back. My experience was so awesome I cant really put it into words.

Overall

I have been a customer of the Weave Cafe since April of this year. Every time I come I'm always greeted by the staff, they always have good music playing, and I love the atmosphere of the salon. I have never waited more than a hour for service even on a busy friday with 25 people already signed in. All the stylist and braiders are good and fast. Every time I come to get my hair done I go to a different braider and stylist and have never been disappointed. I have alopecia and I wear silk based closures to cover my bald spots. When my hair is complete you can never tell that I have a closure piece on. My hair always looks so natural. The weave cafe gave me my confidence back. I usually keep my weaves in for 2 months and get maintenance on every 2 weeks. I may see one unsatisfied client every other time I'm there and whatever the issue is , is always resolved before they leave. The staff is always so professional and they are always willing to help you if your stuck on a hair idea or have a problem. They always have some type of specials going on and they update their Facebook and respond to comments. The Weave Cafe has a client for life .:)

Please disregard all reviews that give this place 5 stars they are posted by employees. The atmosphere of this place is dreadful. I'm from the hood so I don't mind a little cursing and loud talking but they were straight talking about sexual stuff. He wanted me to suck... but he ate....I was so embarrassed for them while this young girl who had to have been 13 stared at them with disgust. So as they are talking the guy sewing my hair is yanking my hair back so hard that in the end I had whiplash. So then here I am with a sore next waiting for 2 hours to get styled. And let me say the stylist did a poor job. She didn't attempt to blend my hair just fried it and she actually cut or as she said it "trimmed" my ends about 5 inches. When I got up from the chair the weave I purchased from them was silky smooth while my African hair stood out bushy, frizzy and all. Did I mention she fried my hair? The braids were so tight and the weave did not blend so I took it out 3 days later.

I do not believe this to be true based off of a few erroneous remarks made in this review. TWC has a system that has a 2 step process. The 1st part of this process begins with a Weave Assistant that braids and installs one pack of hair. The 2nd step is completed by a Licensed Stylist that will sew in the 2nd pack of hair, and style/cut the weave. There is only 1 MALE employee here that is in fact a licensed stylist. This LICENSED STYLIST DOES NOT BRAID. Therefore, a customer would NEVER start with him as a first part of the process as this review wrongly stated. Also, the atmosphere is that of a professional environment as explicitly sexual conversations are not entertained here. And whiplash, from our ONE MALE STYLIST....Really? I don't think TWC is the salon that you encountered this negative experience and I would love to challenge you to contact us so that your ticket can be pulled for verification. Our policy states there are no cash refunds, however, if you were an actual customer-we would happily refund you your money.

nitially I read the reviews, and was on the fence whether to go or not. I decided to make the visit and gather my own opinion. With that being said, I also decided to write a review because I had a very good experience. When I walked in, it was a little crowded- but I was greeted promptly. They offered to take my coat and even offered me some coffee and tea. I was a bit hesitant bc the other reviewer stated the coffee selection was not visible bc of all the cleaning supplies, but to my surprise, "all the cleaning supplies" amounted to one bottle of glass cleaner. WOW...I waited abt 50 minutes before I was seated with a braider and that took abt 45 minutes. I waited another 15 minutes and was seated with a stylist. My experience was great. My hair looks great and I've received many compliments. It amazes me that "our people" will attempt to throw each other under the bus and take great measures to see the business fail, but when businesses owned by other races manipulate and take advantage of us as a whole-we don't take the time to write a review, even when the service has been poor. I saw a very clean establishment where the workers took pride in themselves and their craft and I will definitely be returning. Besides, the prices are very good.

I just moved her from Pennsylvania and have had my stylist for years. I heard the commercial a ton of times and was a little nervous about paying such a little bit of money for what I've been paying 200$ plus for the last 5 years. When I walked in, I was greeted by very friendly staff. They offered me coffee, explained their packages, took my coat for me and signed me in. The first lady braided and put one bundle of hair in and then I moved to the stylist. My hair looked great and I really appreciated my service. The only reason i didn't give them 5 stars is because I would have preferred only one person to work on me-but once I was told I can request that one person the next time, it gave me a better feeling. I know it's the nature of the operation, so I didn't make a fuss. I will definitely be going back

I was so scared to try to place because it sounded to good to be true. I made an appt for Tuesday at 12pm I sat there until 2pm until they serviced me. I walked out about 4:30pm so total time on my hair was not too bad. The lady who braided my hair mentioned to me that she was balded on the sides of her head and I think she wanted me to be as well because of how tight she braided. After I asked her SEVERAL times to not braid so tight another lady who worked there finally chimed in said "if you want it to last and look good you better sit and take it" then they laughed. See, the thing is I want it to look good but I also want to keep my real hair. If my weave doesn't last long then that its my problem because I requested you to braid loose but if I'm bald cause you braided my hair to damn tight that is OUR problem because I wont go away. It is six days later my hair is STILL super tight and I plan to take it down TODAY because I cant risk being bald. I have sat in a sauna (for hours) and oiled the hell out of my scalp to loosen the braids with no luck at all. So, my $50 weave was a waste of money. Also, I have a lot of super thick hair which the lady clearly did not know how to braid because there is a huge LUMP of my braided hair on one side at the bottom that she "tried" to conceal. Otherwise, my weave/ hair looks good. It was styled well. I brought my own hair which I loved. She did a good job at blending my hair. So, weave cafe you have a good idea and thing going but, I recommend on time appointments and give the customer wants she wants. There is too many black women walking around with BALD sides do NOT add to that. Practice healthy weaves!!!
