Service

To keep this short & sweet I will say if you are looking for customer service TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. We were told if we left a five star review we could get a free start up bucket (that everywhere else offers for free with their camper purchase) but we will just buy our stuff somewhere else and I'll use my review to try to help a family out and send them to Bob ledfords adventure world in Greer SC if my husband and I had it to do over again we most certainly wouldn't buy from karolina koaches. All around rude employees who won't help you with anything. We got charged 140 dollars for them spending 15 minutes to put sway bars on my husband's truck that we provided. We asked when we put the deposit on the camper if someone could show us how all of the hook ups worked since we are first time campers and you would have thought we were asking for a kidney from out salesman. So we are pulling our camper home from purchasing it with no instruction on how to use it but we couldn't be happier to be leaving from this place.

3 weeks later our camper began to leak. We contacted karolina koaches to bank in on our 1 year warranty to which we were informed in order for them to speak with us they would need us to take our 1 star Facebook review down. When we refused to do so they informed us they wouldn't not be fixing our camper.

The employees are rude.
The owner will not call you back.
They will only contact you via Facebook comment in order to make themselves look better. If you call they will hang up on you.
They will not fix things they are responsible for.

The BBB is involved at this point.

Been looking for a ClassA toy hauler. Done my internet research, contacted 5 dealers, set up a spreadsheet to track my progress...( Mhsrv., General, Tom Johnson camping world, Day Brothers RV sales, Lazy Days), Bob at Karolina Koach gave me the best price, the best out the door service that any buyer could expect!!
If you're looking for a flashy show room, salesmen running around on custom golf carts, this is not the place for you. If you're looking to purchase a RV at a price you feel good with and like working with some Good People this is the place to come too.

I saw an RV at Carolina Koaches that I liked. I spoke with Glen who was very helpful on the phone, anserwing all my questions. I left a deposit as they were preparing the rig. After some days went by, I changed my mind. They were very understanding, and refunded most of my deposit. Great people to deal with, really wanting happy customers. I would recommend.

We were going on extended trip and asked for our RV to be checked out. for KK , KK called and said that the back AC would have to be replaced and that the generator needed a carburator . But that everything else checked out. We decided not to get the back AC replaced at this time or to fix the generator. He claimed to have checked everything else and that everything else was running fine.We paid $250.00 When we picked it up and brought it home, we were connecting the propane gas to the refrigerator and you could hear the gas escaping, the regulator was leaking where you turn it on, apparently he hadn't even checked it, although he said that he did and that it was good to go.. We took it to another dealer to have it repaired. We sprayed WD40 in to the fan of the AC and it works perfectly, which he had told us that we would have to replace. It is a good thing we did not take his word because we would have had trouble on our trip. Also, then we took the RV to get the oil changed, and they found a valve stem leaking on one of the tires. Fortunately that was fixed before we left. They found it and that was not what they were paid to do, but KK didn't find it and that was what we hired them to do, to check everything out for our trip.

We went through the ebay process and won a no reserve 2004 RZ New Vision Ultra 40' 5th wheel(ebay #181238450461). We paid our deposit within the 24 hour time frame. Called to make arrangements to finish the payment and make delivery arrangements. The owner (Bob) called and informed us that someone had come in off the road and offered them $6000 more than the amount we had paid our deposit on and that he was going to sell to them because of the price difference. He suggested we could increase our price to keep the sale. When I refused he said he would refund our deposit and offered us $250.00 for our trouble. I refused his offer which surprised him. He was really calm through the whole order which led me to believe this was not the first time they have played this game with someone. I am also guessing that most people would accept the payoff figuring that they would be $250.00 farther ahead than when they started. All we want is our 5th wheel that we won fairly and legally and paid our deposit on and they accepted. They really looked to be a reputable firm which is why we took a chance on them being 1500 miles from us. We have contacted both ebay and the Better Business Bureau of SC and they are investigating. Ebay is going to suspend them based on policy violations. Bob claimed Karolina Koaches reserved the right to sell locally if they wanted to and there was nothing we could do about it since we are Canadians. The ebay listing stated and I am cutting and pasting directly from the auction listing " Our units are available for sale locally on our 'lot' and we reserve the right to cancel this auction at any time and sell the item prior to auction end " Notice the prior to auction ending part. This is why they will be suspended from ebay according to the rules enforcement dept on ebay and was of great interest to the BBB. In my opinion this is just bad business practice. My aunt who was bidding on a newmar dutchstar from Karolina Koaches inventory stopped her bidding after my call to her telling her of our experience. Please be careful in dealing with Glen or Bob. Glen claimed to be an owner on our second call to them until I told him I was calling the local BBB. Business practices like this is what is ruining this great country.

False Advertising/Hidden 30% Restocking Fee

Motorhome purchased with the understanding that it ran great, a test drive would be given before paperwork finalization. None of this happened. Motorhome was brought around hooked up to my car trailer while I was asked to complete the paperwork. Upon leaving it was discovered that not only did the engine not run properly, but the brakes were questionable. I drove to the nearest exit, pulled into Walmart parking lot, called them with my concerns and was told if I wanted to return it, there would be a 30% restocking fee. This was to cover mainly their costs of advertising it with eBay. They have since asked eBay to forgive their fees. Motorhome purchase price was $10,100.01. I received a check for $6,736.50, plus my $500.00 deposit back from PayPal. Karolina Koaches's position is that I overloaded the towing capacity of the Winnebago. They claim it has a 3500 lb. hitch. A call to the Winnebago factory confirmed that they rolled off the assembly line with a class II 5,000 lb. - 350 lb. tongue weight hitch. My 2003 Trailblazer (approximately 4000 lbs.) and 1500 car trailer, according to Winnebago, should have been no problem to tow.

I think that just the very fact that these swindlers have collected 30% ($3,000.00 in my case) and had the audacity to expect eBay to release them from their fees gives you a pretty good picture of who we're dealing with.

Here are the facts:

1) their ad said it ran great, it did not;

2) their ad said that you'd be asked to complete the paperwork AFTER a testdrive, they did not follow this procedure;

3) their ad said that they had just driven this 600 miles and there were no problems;

4) their salesman, Bob, as I asked to have the leveling jacks demonstrated, said that they're too busy to check all the systems. He also said the only thing they guarantee is the generator, refrigerator, and engine because they are the most expensive to fix;

5) Before they would release my $6,736.50 check, they would need to drive it. Before Mike even left the lot, he said to me that maybe this was just a burned plugwire or something, indicating to me that he felt the engine was not running properly either. Upon his return, he said he felt like perhaps a caliper was frozen up on the brakes.

Apparently, the two conditions that compelled me to return the motorhome did indeed exist. It wasn't a figment of anyone's imagination. Towing 20 miles did not create either of these problems.
