South Mountain Auto Spa

Been going here for over 2 years, last visit things changed, no longer could you prepay at the machine for full service car wash. I asked the gal about it and she said you pay on the other side for full service where they do the cleaning. Went great got done what I needed. Last sunday my 83 yr old father went to get his jeep washed. He was aware of the change in procedure and waited on the other side for the windows and carpet vacumme. Waited 5 min finally a gal came out and asked him what he was waiting for, he told her and she said you have to pull over to the self service area and wait. He did, 5 more minutes passed, several of the self clean cars came and left. Finally the gal came out and asked what he wanted, he told her clean the windows and vacumme. She told him he would have to go inside and talk to the man at the counter, who then tried to upsell him carpet cleaning and other stuff ranging from 20-90 dollars, service he didn't want. After about 15 min of dickering, the man at the counter finally agreed to have someone clean windows and vacumme for the normal 8 dollars that they always charged. Needless to say neither of us will be back to this car wash. Change is good but basically holding an elderly man at bay trying to upsell him instead of doing the basic service.... seriously there are a ton of car washes in town and in our area. We will find another place to go and never go back there again.

I did the full service wash and what a great job they did! I loved the mirror they have at the entrance that let me see when I was pulling up that my tire was in the slot.The two young men did a very complete and excellent job of wiping down the outside and inside of my truck, the windows are spotless and they even did the tires. I will go back there whenever I need to get a wash done. Price was very good too, I could not have done it myself for less. Very happy!

great price... good location.. friendly staff, not run by illegals.
