There is no way in the new hospital, opened August 2008, to regulate the temperature. It is so cold in the rooms that you have to wear cold weather gear just to be moderately comfortable. The Engineer told us that he has to regulate the temperature in individual rooms. Well, that didn't work either. It is ridiculous that the patients have to freeze. My husband developed pneumonia while a patient this week. Just a touch, but he did not have it when he was admitted. This is a NEW hospital with thermostats in each room, and they DO NOT WORK !!!!! Even the nurses were complaining about the tempature in my husband's room. Someone has to take charge and cure this problem. When patients have to wear winter coats in bed in order to be even a little comfortable, this is very sad. I am not a cold person, but when visiting, I have to wear a coat in the facility. It is even colder inside than outside. So if you are looking for a hospital where you will be comfortable, do not go here.
