Perry High School was founded in 1956 and serves more than 1,100 students enrolled in grades nine through 12. It is accredited by the Southern Association of Schools and Colleges and has been recognized as a Georgia School of Excellence in 1996. Perry High School is a college preparatory school that offers classes in social studies, foreign languages, physical education, English, business, and family and consumer science. The school has a range of extracurricular activities, such as band, theater, spring musical, Miss PHS, young farmers, the national honor society, and history and prayer club. Its sports activities include baseball, wrestling, basketball, volleyball, cheerleading, football, rugby, soccer, swimming, softball, golf and tennis. It has a library that provides a range of resources, books, magazines, manuals, and college and career reference materials. Perry High School is operated by the Houston county schools and is located in Perry, Ga.
