Northside Medical Associates will not see you if you don't have your deductible from insurance upfront. Although they know you have a serious medical concern and need MRI and keep calling you about other conditions that you need test ran on. I went there early December 2015 where my deductible had been met for the year. Had they went ahead and set up the MRI then, instead of prescribing steroids and pain medicine, I wouldn't be going through this. Now that a new year is in, I have to meet my deductible all over again. If I find out the knot I have on back of my leg is something serious, I will be getting an attorney for being refused treatment. When all they had to do was bill me the 20% that insurance didn't cover.

I took my wife here a few months ago. Dr. Fordson and his nurse were very nice. In fact we thought we had found a good place to go for health concerns. That being said, my wife's chest x ray didn't look right to the Dr. and he said it would take a couple of days to get the results after a radiologist reviewed it. I told the doctor that I could take it to Birmingham and have a friend (radiologist) to read it, but I was assured it would be back within two days. We waited and called for two weeks with no results. In fact months later we never heard back. Also we had a prescription and went to the Northside apothecary and had a bad experience. There was a lady (manager I believe) who was rough and we will never go there again.

They was very good to me.
