        South Shore Farms, located in Payson, Utah, is a subsidiary of McMullin Orchards that is located on the southern shores of Utah Lake. The farms are spread on more than 375 acres of land and grow raineer cherries, tart cherries, peaches, pears and apples. McMullin Orchards harvests the cherry in early summer from several different farms that are part of the operation. All the fruit are hand picked and then placed into packing crates. The crates are then emptied into large bins containing ice. The ice helps bring the field temperatures of the fruit down while it is being transported to the packing plant coolers.
