Wow....
I had an antique store. When I closed I hired anyone one willing to help to get it over with. One fellow john, was too much. Knew the crunch I was in so if he didn't get his way. He would threaten that he would leave. Which would have been the best thing for me.
One of the other workers Steven. Told me that john was stealing. I didn't think much of it because I knew john better then I knew Steven and I was watching all of them pretty close.
John demanded that he stay in back of the van to stack the items.
I didn't realize until yesterday why he wanted to do this. I was told yesterday that john had in his possession and was selling antique brooches. I went into one of three (just to give you and idea of how much crap I have) to look for these antique brooches and they were gone. I had them taped up with duct tape and the tape was cut and the boxes they were in were gone.
All together from what he stole. What he was going to "show his mom" and bring back. Its a little over 40, 000.00 worth of items.
I was out of the area for about 3 months. I found out yesterday john was out selling my antique jewelry (that I have pictures of).
The officer said....how do you know he didn't buy it from someone else?
1) I have 3 witnesses that saw him steal.
2) I have one witness that saw some of the items in his posession.
3) he took items on a pretense of showing his mother. To bring back the next day. When I asked him for the return. He said He was going to keep it. If I gave him any trouble he was going to get deputy Hopkins in on it that is very good friends with his family.
I went to the state police because over numerous occasions the local police were used as a threat because relation, friends of the family or similar.
I guess crime does pay....and looks to me crime pays real well.
