Carmel Central School District serves the educational needs of more than 4,500 students in grades kindergarten through 12. Located in Patterson, N.Y., the school district offers a variety of educational, enrichment and extracurricular programs for its students. Its curriculum includes English, language art, social studies, science and technology, health education, mathematics, industrial technology, family and consumer science, business studies, computer science, fine arts, music, and physical education. It also offers various honors and advanced placement courses in grades 10 through 12. The school district comprises more than five primary, elementary, middle and high schools, and offers facilities, such as transportation and food service. Its schools have parent-teacher associations that cater to the needs of students and help them in achieving academic excellence.
