        Youth Consultation Service, also known as YCS, is a nonprofit organization that offers behavioral health and social services to support children and families. Established in 1918, it provides more than 100 programs operated throughout New Jersey. YCS s programs include foster care, residential safe havens, special education and autism schools and family preservation. It also offers various training and consulting services to parents, school districts, professionals and paraprofessionals. YCS employs a staff of therapists, social workers, psychiatrists and nurses. Its programs help students gain emotional awareness and social competence, and developing the cognitive abilities. YCS s education features Learning centers for individualized instruction, therapy components and program implementation through behavioral models.
