Kitchen Remodeling
Flooring
Traffic control was an important part of Phase 2 because of the extensive street improvements and traffic signals in the public right-of-way. Some of the specialized features of construction are Herculite entrances, tele-sliding and roll-up doors, metal wall panels, and stained and epoxy flooring. Important amenities for the firefighting team include dorms, showers, response bays, offices, conference rooms, a kitchen, and a handball court.

Skylight Repair/Replacement
Design-build construction of a 2-story, 16,000 sq ft modern office building with a 34-car parking lot. Construction included special masonry units, zinc panels, and a standing seam roof. The inside of the building features a 15′ x 15′ atrium with a fountain, pyramid-style vented skylights, and high-end finishes.

New Construction
This project consists of new construction on an empty lot of 31 residential units in the RM-32 Zone. The site will include one level of fully subterranean parking. We are still in the design phase of this project – photos coming soon!
Demolition
Work on this project included arcade structure demolition and replacement; as well as adding conduit support at all existing building utility systems at the operating school site.

Landscaping and Fencing

Landscaping
This modernization project consisted of campus-wide upgrades and a new library for Field Elementary School. The project was built in phases. Construction included multi-purpose buildings, administration buildings, extensive site grading, paving, utilities, and landscaping.
Fencing
Increment 2 concluded with the completion of all site improvements: including but not limited to a new parking lot, lighting, landscaping, hardscape and paving, and fencing.
Gate Replacement/Installation

Additional features include a photovoltaic canopy on the building, trash enclosure, walkways, stairs, a ramp, an outdoor stage, utilities, parking, landscaping/ driveway/ fire lanes at the site’s upper level, a playground, and landscaping added to the existing track at the lower level. The 23,424 square foot center exceeded sustainability goals, achieving a LEED Gold certification from the USGBC.
Asphalt Paving
The El Monte Union High School District now houses their bus fleet, maintenance operations, and a warehouse distribution center in one location. The project consists of a new 39,177 sq. ft., 2-story concrete tilt-up building, and 10,000 sq. ft. of covered canopies. Construction required extensive site clearing and rough grading, with asphalt paving of approximately 205,000 sq. ft.
Walkways
Las Positas Elementary School was expanded with a new 12,328 sq. ft., 2-story, 10-classroom steel-framed building with covered walkways and extensive underground utilities.

Painting
Masonry
Crenshaw Fire Station #94 was built under Proposition F, the Fire Bond program for the City of Los Angeles. This project was built in 3 phases and consists of a new 28,188 sq. ft., 2-story structural masonry building with brick veneer, and a detached 2,330 sq. ft. community center.
