Primary Care
Kristen is originally from Ohio, where she studied Biology at Denison University, followed by nursing school at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. Kristen then worked as a pediatric nurse and charge nurse at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH for 5.5 years. During that time, she completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Wright State University to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certified in primary care. She is nationally certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB).
Ear Infections
Colds, upper respiratory infections, and URIs are common terms we use to describe viral illnesses that cause nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, sore throat, fever, and cough. The fever usually lasts for 2-3 days, and the cough with congestion and runny nose may last for 5-10 days. The typical preschool-age child may experience 6-10 colds per year. Most colds resolve on their own with rest and fluids, but some may lead to ear infection, sinus infection, asthma attack, or other complications. If you are concerned about the possibility of one of these complications, please have your child seen in our office for an evaluation.
Family Practice
Dr. Erdley grew up in Southern California and still roots for the Dodgers. After graduating from the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, he did his pediatrics residency training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He moved to Colorado in 1998 and was the Medical Director of the Salud Family Health Center in Fort Collins before joining Southeast Denver Pediatrics in 2003. He enjoys fly fishing, skiing, curling, tennis, and road biking with his wife Alison and two grown children, Rafe and Zach.
