New boat owner and didnt know how to check their work...until my motor went out. A quick exam of the lower unit showed that I was charged $275 for nothing.

When I took the boat there, everything was working fine, I just wanted to stay on top of the yearly maintenance. Im guessing these guys started it up, saw it was pissing fine, running fine and simply topped off the oil, stuck their ugly sticker on my motor and then called me to say it was done.

Less than a year later, my impeller went out. I took off the lower unit myself and checked the bolts to see if I had left marks (proof work was ACTUALLY DONE) and sure enough, there were marks on the bolts (unlike when I got it back from them). The impeller was destroyed and caused more damage. It should never had happened if these guys did what they charged me for.

One last thing: I asked for a print out of the work, itemized. Instead, I got a receipt that just shows, "Maintenance" and the price.
