Established in 1965, Mineral Area College is a two-year public community college providing various certificate and degree programs. Its main campus is located in Park Hills, Mo. The college also has outreach centers in Arcadia Valley, Fredericktown, Perryville, Potosi and Winona, Mo. It provides vocationally oriented programs in secretarial practices, business management and technology. The college offers more than 30 career and technical education programs, general education courses and majors. Its Area College Law Enforcement Academy provides law enforcement training to students and law enforcement agencies. It also offers high school programs, such as technical programs, educational talent searches and dual credit programs and associate degree programs in various subjects, including agriculture, biology, chemistry, computer science, foreign languages, government, history, radiology, medical technology and respiratory therapy. It also offers programs in other subjects, such as operations management, manufacturing supervision, broadcasting, floral designing, graphic arts and automotive collision technology. The college also offers athletic programs and guidance services.
