There are 12 rooms available, 10 have Whirlpool tubs and two rooms have showers only. Amenities include cable TV, Free Wi-Fi, mini refrigerators, coffee bar and microwave in upper hall. The Colony Inn is owned by a long time Alaskan who prides herself in keeping Palmer's history alive and relevant. In 1935, the Matanuska Colony project, a part of President Roosevelt’s New Deal program, brought over 200 families from the drought-stricken Midwest to establish a farming community in Palmer. The restored Colony Inn was built as a teacher’s dormitory. Enjoy a sense of American history while you stay at the Colony Inn and explore the wonderful town of Palmer. Conveniently located near Friday Flings (summer), Palmer Public Library, Mat-Su Borough, local restaurants and shops all in walking distance. Reservations are made through the Valley Hotel front desk. Corporate, senior citizen and group rates available.
