I was in an accident in Jan 2017. I’ve been dealing with a heavy achy feeling ever since. I describe it as the after-feeling of when you get a flu shots. Just heavy. I’ve tried many treatments and ththerapiesnd nothing seems to be working. Finally, I am one session away from finishing my acupuncture and I am happy to say I feel like I am about 75% better in my arm! There’s a high chance I am coming back for some more to hopefully be 100% better with more sessions. MedStar’s doctor is a really intelligent dr! He is very informative and also very welcoming.

It is always important to support and listen to the athlete’s concerns.Most athletes are very focused on goals, specifically related to their sport. It is also important that the athlete still feels part of the team, so when able involve them in team meetings and activities. It is also important to realize that while an athlete may be ready to return to sport physically, they may not be ready mentally especially after significant injury. Aquatic Therapy, pool or water therapy, is a form of low-impact and effective Physical Therapy to improve functional outcomes that are built on evidence-based practices. It allows clients that suffer from chronic pain, impaired balance, had an orthopedic surgery or an athlete recovering from injury, to perform exercises that would otherwise be too difficult or painful. The water provides the support and comfort to begin movement as the buoyancy decreases apparent body weight and less resistance making the initial stages of rehabilitation much more effective.

We strive to make our session’s pain free by carefully examining your pain levels, activity level, and symptoms to the frequency and intensity of the exercises required for your rehabilitation. In most cases, patients report only a couple hours of tiredness and a higher level of soreness common to most exercise. If an exercise is painful, please tell your PT immediately! Only in extremely specific cases—such as a frozen shoulder or after total knee replacement—is it ever necessary to “work through” pain.

Aquatic Therapy
My review will be solely for aquatic therapy. I love having pool therapy here because it is individualized one-on-one therapy. The pool therapy that I attended before was a group of 15-20 people, so it was more generic. I’ve been suffering from moderate to severe pain in my lumbar region for the past 5 years and even though I know how to stretch, therapy is really helpful in my recovery journey. The next 7 days after my first pool therapy, I felt the effectiveness of it. So excited to complete 3 more sessions here!...
Neuro Rehabilitation
Narbeh received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science from California State University of Los Angeles in 2018, and his Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from West Coast University in 2022. Although a recent graduate, Narbeh has had physical therapy experience in various settings throughout his clinical rotations such as outpatient/orthopedics, neurorehabilitation, pediatrics, and skilled nursing/acute care. With his all-around experience, Narbeh has worked with athletes in various sports, age ranges, and competitive levels. He has expanded his knowledge and skills by also working with neurological disorders such as spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, stroke, post-concussion, and vestibular disorders. Lastly, he has experience in acute rehabilitation dealing with patients immediately after orthopedic surgical procedures. Before joining our team, Narbeh was a lifelong athlete who played many sports, mainly soccer. Narbeh has competed in collegiate division 2 level, semi-professional teams, and currently competes in recreational soccer leagues around Los Angeles. When not treating patients in the clinic or playing soccer, Narbeh enjoys gatherings with family, spending time with friends, and being adventurous.
Manual Therapy
Rehabilitation ranges from weeks to months, and it is imperative that it begin as soon as possible post-injury to help eliminate pain, achieve an adequate range of mobility, and begin the healing process. Duration generally depends on the type and severity of injury.
