Do not use as a tow company! They do not show up! They lie! and do not inform you they are not coming! Will not ever use this company ever!

Avoid Pinky's Towing! You have been warned!

I contacted AAA to have a truck towed. They said they were sending Pinky's Towing from Ozark and that they would arrive within 30 to 60 minutes. The driver finally showed up two hours after I originally placed the request. He had a teen boy with him that I assumed was his son. The mechanic had forgotten to put the old engine in the bed of the truck as promised and asked me to ask the tow driver to back the truck into their driveway once he had hooked up the truck. When the driver arrived, I told him the mechanic had asked me to ask him to back the truck into the driveway. The driver told me that wasn't part of the deal and in a rather rude voice asked why it wasn't already done before he got there. I told him I had no idea but that I needed the engine and asked him how much he would charge me to back the truck into the driveway, all of about 20 yards. He said he didn't like my attitude. I told him it might have something to do with waiting more than hour past his promised arrival time. I again asked how much it would cost to let the mechanic place the engine into the bed. He said he would no longer talk to me and started yelling for the mechanic. I had turned away from the truck and had begun walking up the driveway when the tow truck driver backed his truck up squealing his brakes and then tore up the driveway right beside me coming within a few inches of hitting me. I believe he did it on purpose to intimidate me. He rolled his window down and started yelling at the mechanic and me. In all fairness, I yelled back with a few not nice words of my own and told him he was fired and was no longer allowed to tow my vehicle. His son was yelling as well. They drove away only to return later with another towed vehicle. The man and the boy were laughing and waving at me and acting like fools. I was embarrassed for both of them.

I also called Pinky's Towing and spoke with a woman that turned out to be this fella's wife. I explained what had happened and told her I would be filing a complaint with AAA as well as leaving reviews about his behavior. She told me that the mechanic had recorded the conversation to which I stated I had hoped he had because her husband had acted like an ass. I asked the mechanic about it and he said he had no idea what they were talking about and had not recorded anything, as I suspected. I wish I had been smart enough to record it myself so that I could show how close he came to hitting me with his truck.

So not only did he not get any extra money for loading the engine, Pinky's also lost out on the money for the tow, proving that they are just not very smart.

AAA sent another wrecker service to tow the truck. He arrived in under 30 minutes and was very professional and towed the truck without any problems. I filed a formal complaint against Pinky's Towing with AAA. As a 25-year plus member of AAA and I asked them to please reconsider using Pinky's in the future.

Pro
Offered to repair damage cause by Pink's for free

Cons
Damaged my vehicle during towing ($250 Universal Joint Broken), rendering car undrivable
Did not follow up to schedule repairs (finally called them 3 days later)
Did not provide alternate transportation to replace my only vehicle
Refused to talk to me during weekends (verbally told me to try again on Monday when I called on saturday)
On Monday stated car might be done by Tuesday
On Tuesday stated car might be done by Wednesday
On Wednesday stated car might be done by close of business
At close of business Wednesday, I visited garage to check progress on my car, saw vehicle sitting in the back, no progress made, Owner told me I'm not allowed in the garage
Owner refused to give me time to schedule pick up (Despite my being clear I live 30+ minutes away and have no other way to get to work than the vehicle he damaged)
Owner refused to return my key to me
Owner refused to show me the "work" done on my vehicle
Owner threatened to remove me from property
Owner mocked me for wearing the US ARMY Uniform (I come straight from work)
Owner Continued to mock me as I left the premise

Awaiting USAA and Agero to resolve issue, possible police intervention to retrieve my property form Pinky's

I do not recommend this company for any service, and it is possibly dangerous to interact with the owner.
