Uptown Salon & Spa

I usually get my hair cut and conditioned every two months. The first appointment I had, the hairdresser was late. I always make my appointment around 10:00am on Saturdays. I am usually the first appointment of the day, but it is still late enough where the hairdresser has plenty of time to sleep in and get to work on time. I had a total of three (kept) appointments and every single time, I had to wait 10-30 minutes for the hairdresser to show up! I scheduled a fourth appointment for two months later. When I showed up to that appointment, AGAIN the hairdresser was not there. Turns out the hairdresser had taken the day off and never contacted me to reschedule the appointment. Thing is, she knew she had that day off at least a month prior to my appointment! And of course, I would have to wait another month at least to be seen by her or someone else in the salon because they are all booked. I now go somewhere else where customer service is as important as the work they do.

Save your time and money. I made an appointment for NovaLash services. Needless to say, a waste of time and money. Prior to the appointment with Laney, I asked several questions. Upon completion of service, I inquired on the mascara that we previously discussed and was advised she didn't have any that she normal has..... But continues to tell me the requirements of mascara to use if I wanted to try and find some. You can't just run and purchase at the local store..... What a huge disappointment.

I should also mention, not anyone even noticed the end result of the services.

If you plan to have any services at the Uptown Salon & Spa be prepared to pay with cash or check. I am looking for a new stylist to do my hair so I made an appointment for a shampoo and style. My appointment was with Becca.



She did a good job on my hair and I was thinking that I might come back again until I went to pay for the services. I asked her if I was to pay her or pay upfront and she said that I should pay her.



I ask if she accepted VISA and she said no, I can only accept cash or a check, I am not set up to accept credit cards. She said that I could go to the ATM and get the cash and come back.



Luckily I actually had a checkbook in my purse. Normally I do all a business transactions via credit card. Due to this major inconvenience I will not be back to the Uptown Salon & Spa for any services.



Any salon not accepting credit cards as a form of payment is very archaic. I will find another location that values my business enough to accept credit cards.
