Ophthalmology
Dr. Gary T. Denslow, M.D., M.P.H., was a Pediatric Ophthalmologist in Tulsa for over 30 years. Dr. Denslow received his B.S. at Michigan State University and went on to complete his Medical Degree at the University of Kentucky. He completed his medical internship at the University of Iowa and his Ophthalmology training at the University of Kentucky, where he was Chief Resident. He completed his education with a Fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School, Children's Hospital Boston.
Macular Degeneration

A thorough, dilated examination allows your doctor to have a better view of the back of your eyes to detect and diagnose common eye diseases and conditions at their earliest stages including diabetes, high blood pressure, macular degeneration, retinal detachment, glaucoma, and more.
Cataracts
This term means "dull" or reduced vision in an eye(s). It may be caused by a variety of problems such as: Strabismus (misalignment), unequal refractive error (Anisometripia), organic problems (cataracts), Opacification (corneal scars), or optic nerve and other retinal abnormalities.
Eye Exam
Insurance companies usually categorize visits to your eye doctor as either "routine" or "medical". The type of eye examination you have is determined by your visit or your cheif complaint, as well as your diagnosis. Most medical insurance plans do not pay for "vision" services. Most vision plans do not pay for "medical" problems.
