There phone is always busy. And they call my child a boy when she has a girls name. This really embarresses my child and myself. Don't like the fact atah all the staff do not speak English. Were in America and English should be the first language spoke. Other languages should NOT be spoke unless the patient does not speak english. It is very rude. The Dr was nice but did not like the fact that he spoke to the hygienists in spanish. The hygienists didn't even know how to spell my childes meds., she had to ask someone else to do it. That scared me.

Finally!!! A dentist office with not only competent, friendly staff....but a kind and gentle Doctor. I've had some pretty bad experiences with dentists over the past 17 years (oldest child)....but this one is by far, the best. They have earned a lifetime client with my family. The scheduling issues from other reviews....? I've never had a problem at all. Was there yesterday for a procedure for my daughter and was literally in and out in 45 minutes. How's that for exceptional service! :D

They scheduled 3 people to see the same dentist at the same time. After waiting over an hour, I got up & left. Very disrespectful to waste people's time like that. Will never return to this place.

Cancelled all Appointments!

Have never been treated so poorly then I was at this office. Made appointment for three of my children all for the same day. Received a call from office to see if I could bring one in early due to a cancellation. I agreed and brought that one in early. At the end of that appointment I was told he had to have two cavities fixed. The dentist told me he ( my 11 year old) needed nitrous oxide. This child has been going to the dentist since he was 2 and never before needed that, but I said ok and went to make appointment. While making that appointment they said it was going to be $100.00. My insurance doesn't cover nitrous oxide unless medically necessary. I told them I couldn't afford it so to take it off. Told them he has had cavities filled without and has always been fine. so we made the appointment for the following week. It ended up being the day before my other two children's appointment.

The day before his appointment the office called to reschedule the other two because the dentist was not going to be in that afternoon. We rescheduled them for earlier that day.

The day of my one child filling I checked him out off school an hour early. Brought him home to get ready. 20 minutes before said appointment I receive a call from the office to tell me they double booked and I need to reschedule that appointment for later that day. I told them I already checked him out if school and they said sorry but you either have to bring him in at 1:00 or wait months for that next appointment. I asked them if it could be 1:30 so I don't have to check the rest of my kids out of school. They said either 1:00 or nothing. That this kind of appointment was hard to get ( a filing appointment) . So I checked all my kids out later that day went to appointment. When I was called back the dentist came up to me and asked why I didn't pay for the nitrous oxide? I told him I could not afford it . He then went on and on about " I said he needed to have it, I wouldn't of done the appointment had I known you couldn't afford it, it's like you are trying to tell me how to do my job by cancelling something I said was needed" and on and on the whole time he was numbing my child up. This dentist made me feel like a horrible parent because I couldn't afford something I feel like an 11 year old didn't need.

I cancelled all appointments with this dentist including the extra appointment he now felt like my child needed due to not having nitrous oxide. I will never recommend this dentist to anyone especially to low income families. If you want to feel like the dirt on this man's shoe then by all means go ahead. I on the other hand will look elsewhere.

Overall

We made three consecutive appointment for our son to get much needed dental work done almost 2.5 months in advance - the 2.5 wait was pushing it as it was, because his dental problem could start effecting his physical health if put off - this was not an appointment for anything that was simply aesthetic.

A day before the first appointment (today - just about twenty min. ago) we were called and told that the appointment needed to be pushed back, because the Dr. wouldn't be in (supposedly.) Any reasonable person (myself included) would think "OK, that's fine," under the assumption that it'd be pushed back only a few days or a week perhaps...Surely a Dr. being out a day or two would not set the office back in terms of appointments for very long (this is the case with most offices, thus a reasonable conclusion to come to.)

However, I could not BELIEVE it when they told me they wanted to push it back from the initial date of June 10th all the way to December 18th (my jaw literally hit the floor.) I had to ask twice, because I needed to make sure I heard the woman correctly.

It's not like the fact you can never get a hold of anyone over the phone unless they call you, the over-scheduling, cramped waiting quarters, and horrid wait-times weren't bad enough.

Honestly, we should have known better as first appointment my son had at said office (prior to aforementioned scheduled appointments that were scheduled) was at 10 AM, but it turned into an all day event (they did not get into a patient room until noon, and then proceed to wait for an hour in back before seeing anyone!...And it was for a simple evaluation.)

Needless to say we'll be taking our business elsewhere. I'd rather pay more money to be treated with the common decency, and respect a paying customer deserves. Clearly, the people at Main Street Dentistry don't value their customers.I can't believe we were made to set an appointment so far in the future (2.5 months mind you) for a necessary procedure, only to be told we need to wait a little over half a year more a day before said appointment to get something that needs immediate attention.

That said appointments mean nothing to these people. Not only has this ordeal been both appalling and unpleasant, but it's set us back in terms of time. Our son needs the work that could have been done by another company much sooner.

TLDR: Take your children elsewhere for their dental needs unless you are cool with waiting in an office for hours after your scheduled appointment time, packed like sardines on top of each-other in a tiny waiting room (if you're lucky enough to not be called a day ahead of time to have your apt. pushed back half a year.)
