Overall

My cat had an issue with her eye two years ago and my regular vet could diagnose a flea bite from a sniffle. My wife and I researched the web for a local vet that was more specializing in cats which led us to Veterinary Eye Specialists of Nebraska. The vet looked at our cat and prescribed drops for her eye. We returned to Veterinary Eye Specialists of Nebraska for the checkup and at that time were told our cat had to have the eye removed. She stated the eye may be cancerous but would need to be removed to hopefully keep the other eye from suffering the same fate. When the surgery was over the vet at Veterinary Eye Specialists of Nebraska asked my wife and I if we would want to send the eye out to have it diagnosed to confirm cancer. The vet said when the results return she would contact us. We called Veterinary Eye Specialists of Nebraska three times two weeks after the surgery one week after that and another after that. No one seemed to know anything even though we explained all of the above each time we called. We gave up on them and assumed the results were not bad. Now two years later we had to take the same cat to a different vet because the cat lost over half her weight. The new vet from another business after examining her stated that our cat had cancer in her lymph system. This vet had us take our cat to another vet that does ultrasounds. The results confirmed our new vet’s prognosis. The ultrasound vet also acquired the lab results that were sent to Veterinary Eye Specialists of Nebraska two years earlier when the eye was removed and these results stated that the cancer of the eye was coming from the lymph system and very well may have been able to be addressed back then when the cat was healthier and could undergo cancer treatment. Veterinary Eye Specialists of Nebraska needs to just disappear and no longer in business. I just wish there was a way to remove her vet license. STAY AWAY FROM VETERINARY EYE SPECIALISTS OF NEBRASKA!!
