In 1969, MIT was headquartered in Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minn., and operated as Minnesota Industrial Tools, the parent company. Minnesota Industrial Tools has branches in Milwaukee; Cedar Rapids, Iowa; San Francisco; Los Angeles; and Tampa, Fla. The Omaha, Neb., branch of the company operates from a 10,000-square-foot facility.
