Overall

Reed's rebuilt the transmission in my car for $2800.00 and they supposedly gave me a 6 month guarantee. The transmission had shifting issues from the time it was rebuilt so it had to be taken back 2 or 3 times for that. It also had a leak and went low on fluid and quit working well within the 6 month guarantee time that was given. This month it was close to the warrantee time being over when the leak that had been there from the time the work was done got bad enough that it had to be fixed. It was a part that they removed to rebuild the transmission that (WAS NOT!) leaking when we took the car to them. I took the car to them and they didn't bother to say anything about price so I figured it was covered under the 6 month warrantee since the leak was there from day one after the work was completed and the 6 month's weren't over yet. SUPRIZE -SUPRIZE !!!! They called today and said it was ready and the bill was $250.00. BEWARE !!! The warrantee offered here is not honored and I was also told that it had been a year since the first work was done. that was (WRONG!!) I feel like corners were cut on installation the first time and I had to pay for the parts that should have been replaced and were silicone was used instead of the correct seal's in order to get by the first time. I learned my lesson. Pay a little more and get it done correctly the first time so you have no problems like this and so the warrantee doesn't even matter. Thanks Reed's !! A Happy Disabled Vet... I should have stated up front that this is my wife's car that I seldom drive. This was a shot at me that affected he ability to work so it is all bad now.

I should have said up front that this is my wife’s car that I seldom drive and it has affected he ability to work as well as everything else

We went after the car later the same day 10/2/2015 that I paid $250.00 for the last repair about 6PM with my wife.. My wife was driving it home with me following her, the car started smoking (BADLEY) about 2 miles from their shop. We stopped in a store parking lot and Reed's transmission had to have the car towed bake to the shop because the transmission was leaking worse than it did to start with. The car would not have made it the 2 miles back to their shop without burning the trans up completely!! could this have been pay back or did they turn into saboteurs for being angry about the non existent warrantee?? It looks like it was leaking in the same place to me but I can't wait to see what they say now. If it is leaking in the same place what will happen now? if it isn't HOW would it have started leaking even worse at a different place setting at their shop? I REALLY HATED TO TAKE THIS CAR BACK TO THEM BUT WHAT CHOICE DID I HAVE?? In the back of my mind I can see they wanted me to get right on the interstate Hwy. from the shop and the transmission would have burnt completely up within two miles or less. This has gone from Bad to even WORSE with these guy's now.

I will be posting this on other sight's as well in order to warn other people.. this isn't right..
