The Oklahoma County Public Defender's Office is managed by Oklahoma County in Oklahoma. The office provides legal representation services for indigents who are charged with criminal offenses, such as misdemeanors and felonies. It represents deprived children in juvenile and domestic cases, as well as mentally ill people in civil commitment hearings. The Oklahoma County Public Defender's Office also represents the interests of the public in making recommendations to judges regarding adoption expenses. The Oklahoma County Public Defender's Office represents adults in civil proceedings.
