CONSUMER BEWARE!!! Larry's VW Import Service, practices all the old school mechanic scams in the book. This company lacks any knowledge in regulations and business ethics or integrity. You will not get a receipt of what you sign at the time of drop off of your vehicle, nor any upfront written pricing when quoted; if you are lucky to even get a quote. You will not see any proper regulatory mandated items posted on their walls or front entry. They lack a computer POS system so you will not have/get a fair quote to the labor rate market here. They will falsify receipts with your signature, that you signed when you came in to authorize the work, through photo copying to make it look as though you agreed to those prices at the time of drop off. They will use used/old parts on your vehicle and keep new parts off your vehicle if they replace anything. They will threaten you with a lien on your vehicle if you do not/refuse pay, even if those services and prices were not agreed to. And, as the Ok law is currently written, you have to pay to get your vehicle. They will request cash payment, as well as claim that they do not have a merchant account (that is a sign right there to beware) if a company does not have a merchant account in this day and age it says something big about the company's credit and monetary stability - you won't know this until it is time to pay, they are good at not disclosing this detail under Larry's personal motto, "you didn't ask, so I didn't tell". Your vehicle will be worse off than when it came in, damage wise, or not fixed correctly at all. And, they will charge you for unauthorized work and added work, or even work not done. Unfortunately, they know to walk a gray line, so you can't prove what they did or didn't do it until it is to late, i.e. after payment.)

!!! IF YOU HAVE A COMPLAINT ABOUT LARRYS: Please, please, join the cause and file with the Attorney Generals Office, as well as the BBB, and practice your right of small claims and public complaint through social media outlets. It is shops that operate in this manner that give good repair shops a bad name. We need to stand together against repair shops that have bad business practices and violate regulatory responsibilities in regards to consumer rights!!! There are two other Import repair shops in the OKC area, please do your rating research when deciding to take your vehicle to one. DO NOT make the same mistake I did and go to Larry's. ***Don't just take my word for it, pay attention to this company's complaint pattern: (1) Invalid pricing/labor rate and work done, with vague or altered receipts. (2) Your vehicle will be in worse condition than when it came in. (3) Deceptive verbiage, and lack to follow proper regulatory practices. (4) Your pocket book will be unnecessarily lighter than it should be when you leave.***

We were traveling in our Westfalia, and lost a caliper bolt on the Highway. We tied several part store to no avail. we stopped at Larrys after hours and nobody was there so we sat there and devised a plan, went back to O'Reillys to order the part(2 day wait). Larrys wife shows up, at O'Reilys, and offers us help. A few turns down the road and we're at Larrys home, he steals the part we need off one of his personal rides and sends us on sends road. (Refused to accept payment) They are parts of the VW fam, and of ours!!! Thanks Larry

Thought we were off to a good start when he came and picked up my 03 bug. However after 7 weeks and one excuse after another and $1000 more than originally quoted the car was ready. I will not go back, nor would I ever recommend anyone else go there. Only got updates when I called and was not responsive when I left messages. Very unprofessional way to run a business.

An old school, family run VW shop. Honest, competent, friendly folks. Traveling thru town I had a problem with the starter on my 1987 VW Camper. Larry and crew had me back on the road QUICKLY and at a fair price. I recommend this shop without reservation.

Got a thermostat replaced on 2...

Make Sure You Get a Quote in Writing Before They Start Any Work

Got a thermostat replaced on 2001 Jetta, everything has worked fine. Larry and his wife were very friendly.

Only complaint is that the price I was quoted differed from the price I payed. When I dropped off the car Larry asked if it had any codes and I told him it did, and he said they would scan it to confirm the codes, but he didn't tell me that they would charge $45 to do this. I was under the impression that it was just part of the service of replacing the thermostat, because Larry never said that he was going to charge me to do that scan, he wasn't very upfront with that. If I had known they would charge $45 to scan the codes, which only takes a couple minutes to do, I would have told him no, because I can scan the codes for free at O'Reily's and clear any fault codes there.

So my advice is to ask for a detailed quote before you have them start any work, the last thing you want to do is pay for something at the end, when you weren't aware you were going to be paying for it in the first place.

Larry's VW is a great place to take your car. He works on my '66 bug and '03 Jetta. He's very fair and honest. I've been going to Larry's for over 20 yrs. and I have never had a bad exsperiance with him or his crew. He is very knowlagible on all VW's and will help you with all of your VW needs. Just give him a call and you will see for your self. I recomend this shop to all VW owners.

well, i found larrys to be rat...

well, i found larrys to be rather dishonest, and underhanded with their business practice. They will create problems with your automobile and charge you for it., an elementry attempt to deceive, and extract unearned funds from their customers left me with a very sour taste in my mouth, and nintey dollars poorer for absoultly nothing in return. Don`t go there!!
