Central Diagnostics

I am glad that I was not the only one who was scammed by this company. Has anyone had success in negotiating their bill down or not paying them at all? I have never had this kind of experience before and am interested in what resolutions other patients have had.

This is a scam. 5100 for a urine test that my doctor ordered for a pain medication refill due to a car accident I had. Already paid the doctor and they send a bill trying to get people to pay it. They should go to prison for this type of scam.

Same here, my Pain Management doc did a urine test on my last visit in Beaumont Texas. I get a bill from Central Diagnostics for a Urine test. $3,482.09 adjusted down -$2301.25 for insurance and wanting another $490.22 from me. This is a scam and rip off. MAJOR rip off to both consumers and Insurance!!!

I see I'm not the only one who is being billed a RIDICULOUS amount for a freaking URINE TEST that these THIEVES already gotten paid for from my insurance! If I get one more bill from these people the next contact they will get is from my attorney! LEAVE ME ALONE OR ELSE!!! I would have put a ZERO RATING but it wouldn't let me

I just got a bill for $4,992.09 as well...for a urine test. What total BS. When the doc orders one every couple of months, at this rate, my urine tests cost more than my mortgage.

I was also billed $4,992 for a urine analysis (drug test) as required by law when under the care of a pain management specialist due to narcotic painkillers being within the same classification as many illegal drugs. Central Diagnostics attempts to collect the contracted bill amount OR write off the charge (for Federal Income Tax purposes) if consumers do not pay; either way this is a win-win situation for Central Diagnostics. DO NOT PAY THEIR BILLS, seek legal assistance or negotiate the charge down to a realistic amount (ex. $100-200) depending on the type of panel ordered. "Total scammers" sums it up, extremely unethical.
