Don't waste your time at this clinic. Also, you'll probably find the zombies who work behind the front desk, to be insulting and condescending.

After several unsuccessful and expensive trips to Mercy Urgent Care in O'fallon, Mo, I just ended up going to SSM's ER in Lake St. Louis and found out I have a kidney stone stuck in my left ureter plus a case of hypokalemia. It was nice to see a doctor look at me as a patient with real medical needs, instead of being treated like some malingering, sociopathic, drug seeking lunatic out for inappropriate attention. Everyone was very helpful, kind, and professional. No moral, political or socioeconomic class bias for me to deflect or explain away. How refreshing. No pain is a good thing!!!! Whoo-hoo!! Patient first...EPIC electronic file misinformation last. I wish I had a dollar for every-time someone mistook my chart as being more important than "me" the actual patient.

If you are in real pain, go to the ER instead.Stay away from the nurses

I went there for what I thought was an infection. I walked out with a script for antibiotics. A week later, I am not 100 percent better so I called thinking I would get a refill. I was told although my rapid test came back positive, the lab results were negative. So in essence, I was misdiagnosed. Because of this, they will do nothing unless I see the doctor again, hence spending another $400 on the worst medical service I have ever experienced.

Absolutely terrible nursing staff. Husband went in for an EKG and the nurse practitioner on duty told us that there was no one available there to read the EKG AFTER it had been done! Went to St. Joe's West and discovered that he was having a heart attack!

If you go to this Mercy Urgent Care, it will bill you or your insurance hundreds of dollars for an ER visit, instead of Urgent Care visit. My mom went there and had her back checkout by a doctor, nothing more. She's now on the hook to pay $600 because Mercy Urgent Care charges her as an ER visit. I went to BJC Urgent care many times and paid less than $150 each time.

CONSUMER WARNING: Do Not Use Mercy urgent Care.

I took my son to this facility on 01/25/2015 to ask for a topical prescription to treat poison ivy. We knew ahead of time that it was poison ivy, the doctor on duty spent 2 minutes looking at him and confirmed it was poison ivy, and then sent us on our way with a prescription for a cream. Total length of visit, 5 minutes. Bill sent to my insurance for those 5 minutes: $757.00

I could have gone to a Walgreen's clinic and been charged $89.00. I could have even gone to any of the local hospital ER's and only been charged $100.00 But since I incorrectly chose Mercy Urgent Care, who markets themselves as a cheaper and better alternative to the ER, I'm now on the hook for nearly $500 of their outrageous claim of $757.00 sent to my insurance provider.

This facility is a perfect example of what is wrong with our health care system. No Emergency Service was rendered, yet they billed my insurance provider for Emergency Service; on top of a doctor's fee, and $400 worth of other services never rendered.

They literally: 1) Took his temperature = normal, 2) Took his blood pressure = normal, and 3) smiled and said, "Yes, it's poison ivy. Let me write you a Rx for a topical cream."

Don't use Mercy Urgent Care in O'Fallon MO. Seriously, go ANYWHERE else.

I didn't hate the experience with the doctor as much as I hated the bills I am battling to have fixed. My husband went here twice in April. Once he only had to pay his $50 copay, the second time we got a bill it was for $521 because they bill it as an emergency room visit. I was seen at this location on a Sunday in June which resulted in a $607 bill because since they are considered an "emergency room level" urgent care and my illness was not deemed appropriate for an emergency room visit I was billed $607. Do not go to any Mercy Urgent Care facilities as they are all billed this way. Very disappointed.

What a Joke!

Front desk lady and the nurse were pleasant BUT Dr. Mulford was a joke!!!!! Before she even entered my room she read the notes from the nurse and printed a prescription! She didnt introduce herself, shake my hand, or give me any kind of greeting...no personality...which would b fine if my $50 went to a thorough exam. Through my suit jacket and shirt she quickly listened to my lungs from my back AND nothing more! Gave me the prescription that she previously printed before even meeting, told me not to drive while taking the cough medicine, to rest, and take motrin.

Pretty sure I have bronchitis or pneumonia! I am not a complainer and hypochondriacs and winers annoy me...so for me to go to an urgent care...Im not well!

Good thing I still have an appt with my ear, nose, and throat dr on Wed :)

Stay away from Dr. Mulford at the O'Fallon Hwy K Urgent Care.
