Kersh Car Wash & Boutique

I was referred to Kersh Car Wash Company when asking for a full-service car wash in the Odessa area. I purchased the "Best" carwash that included detailing of my interior. I drove through the wash and exited when directed by personnel for my car to be detailed. After paying my total to the cashier I waited outside for the two young men to finish my car's detailing.



After I was flagged for my car's completion, with tip in hand for their hard work, I handed the two gentlemen their tips and inspected my car only to find that the Chrysler's 8.4" touch-screen display is the centerpiece of the dash had been cracked from the middle out reaching all 4 corners. I immediately asked to speak to a manager and was met by a woman named Angela that inspected the newly cracked screen, so new that the glass from the screen was falling off on to her finger tip as she touched it. The touch-screen was so broke, in fact, that she could not get the screen to respond at all. She stated that "these boys break everything" and wrote, dated, and signed a Vehicle Damage Report with Kersh Car Wash Company's letterhead. I asked for a copy of that damage report and asked for her number and the owners number, a Mr. Bill Kersh.



I called both the manager and the owner multiple times to try and find out about my car. Bill did answer the phone and told me that I couldn't prove that his company damaged my car and that he was not "calling me a liar, but..." and then told me to contact my own insurance to fix the problem. Well, I did contact my insurance company, told them about what happened and provided them the documentation that Angela wrote up after seeing the damage the detailer's had made and a picture of my screen. They advised me to get an estimate, and I did.



I called Mr. Kersh and let him know I made a copy of the estimate for him and he said he would have a meeting with his manager, Angela. I asked to be a part of this meeting and he said that he would call me back to let me know when the meeting would occur. I never received that call.



However, 2 days go by and he called to offer me $150 credit to his carwash and $300 to fix my car. The estimate for my car was $1,910.00. I did not accept because I feel like he needs to fix what his company damaged and cover my $500 deductible.



All in all, this entire experience seems unjust and is so very disappointing on so many levels. I paid his company for their "best" services and came out with a broken car and less faith in humanity.

Way to proud of themselves. $180 + tax to wash and shampoo a truck. Website said $50. Dealer charges about $175-200 for a complete detail.
