Overall
Proceed with Caution!

Unfortunately we had a horrific experience here while trying to get help for our daughter. The staff is not trained to care for and work with adolescents who are struggling with eating disorders. My daughter was treated as though she were being held in a juvenile detention center for punitive reasons rather than getting the care, compassion and counseling she needed. From unauthorized lab work despite my daughter's protests to derogatory comments from untrained and very unprofessional staff, I think its fair to say that this facility caused more harm than good.

Overall
Best Psych Hosp. My Kids Have Been To.

All of my children have Autism/OCD/ADHD. They have all had stays in the children's Inpatient Unit. Each time the staff and Dr.'s did a remarkable job! They took their time, listened to the parents, kept the children safe, taught them anger management, behavior management and coping skills. They also taught me, the parent new discipline skills that actually worked and gave me strategies to implement when I returned home with my child. My children have been in other hospitals, but Roger's Memorial has been the best experience to date. I now, only allow my children admittance into this hospital. They have turned our family around for the better! I strongly recommend Roger's Memorial to any family with Special Needs children - especially OCD, Anorexia, and Autism.

Overall
My stay at this hospital was a nightmare!

My stay at this hospital was a nightmare! I wish I would have known this ahead of time, because there is no way I would have gone there.

I would not recommend this hospital to anyone! The staff was so short handed, unavailable when they were there and abusive, uncaring and insensitive that I couldn't wait to get out of there! Much of the time there was no staff around. They were very condescending and uncareful with proper care of medication. At one point I had to run down the hall to another section of the hospital to request a nurse or doctor because of an emergency someone was having, but the nurse there just gave me an attitude and said she's not part of that department.

This place is BAD NEWS! Don't go there if there is anyway you can avoid it!
