Cooperative Elevator Association is an agricultural cooperative that focuses on several core businesses, including grain, feed, agronomy and lumber. The cooperative is governed by a board of directors. Members of the board are elected by stockholders of the cooperative from a trade territory that covers primarily the Iowa counties of Osceola and O Brien. The directors serve for three-year terms. The organization s agronomy and feed departments provide consulting services and sales. Its lumber division finances most livestock facilities. The cooperative offers a variety of grain contracts, including those based on minimum price, price later, extended price, basis, hedge to arrive and forward cash. Cooperative Elevator Association employs more than 45 full-time employees and several part-time personnel who work on a seasonal basis. It maintains locations in Sibley, Harris, Hartley and Ocheyedan, Iowa.
