Mark received his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Cebu Doctors’ University in the Philippines in 1999. During his clinical internship, he was exposed to different clinical settings such as geriatric, pediatrics, acute and long term care, cardiac and sports rehabilitation. He relocated to Florida in March 2007 and joined Fit for Life last December 2007. His areas of interest are in orthopedics and aquatics.

He has a master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University, and has been practicing outpatient orthopedics since 1996 in Gainesville and Ocala. He received his undergraduate degree at the University of Delaware in Exercise Science and was a scholarship athlete in football. Much of his post education has been focused on manual treatment, aquatics, functional capacity evaluations and physical reconditioning evaluation and treatment.
Wound Care
Virginia (Ginger) McFadden is a licensed occupational therapist specializing in hand therapy. Ginger graduated in 1998 from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy. In 2004, she completed advanced training and received her qualification as a certified hand therapist. Ginger is experienced in treating a wide range of diagnoses, including children with congenital anomalies, patients with fractures, sprains, sports injuries, arthritis, patients requiring complex wound care and orthotic devices. Ginger is approaching 15 years in hand orthopedics and is a lifelong resident of Gainesville.

Originally from Upstate New York, Cindy obtained her PTA degree in 2001 and has spent all of her years of practicing in outpatient orthopedic settings. She relocated to Florida in 2003, where she began training and specializing in Manual Therapy. Areas of interest include orthopedics, sports medicine and the treatment of cervicogenic headaches and migraines. In her spare time, Cindy enjoys the outdoors, her flower gardens, trips to Sanibel Island, fishing, Yankee baseball and Gator football.

With Dave and Char both being exceptionally gifted physical therapists, and Roberta and Lambert’s combined years of small business ownership and financial backgrounds, this was the perfect combination for our company’s beginning.

Aquatic Therapy
Katherine was born and raised in Orlando, Florida in a small town called Oviedo. She grew up with 3 sisters and eventually went to school for pre pharmacy and found that she wasn’t meant to be in that field. In 2011 she found Physical Therapy to be her passion and looked forward to obtaining her PTA degree, which she received in 2013. Enjoys spending time with her husband Rey, friends, church family and doing arts/crafts. Excited where life is taking her. She says she grows and learns every day and feels blessed to be here at Fit For Life since starting in May 2014. Katherine treats mainly orthopedics including various joints and helps with aquatic therapy, which she loves the most. Assists with pulmonary and vestibular rehab as well. Her favorite part of PT is utilizing manual and neuromuscular techniques to help loosen, realign, and retrain muscles.
Manual Therapy
Dry Needling is a safe, fast, and effective treatment for muscular trigger points and soft tissue referral pain. A sterile, monofilament needle is inserted into a trigger point for ~ 30 seconds, providing an immediate release due to harnessing a neurological reset mechanism in the central nervous system. Strict safety, sterility, and application protocols are always followed. There are no adverse effects to dry needling and this treatment can be used in conjunction with other manual therapy techniques including kinematic taping, joint mobilization/manipulation, and soft tissue release.
