About six weeks ago I hurt my back while lifting cases of water out of my trunk. At first it wasn’t too bad but by the next day at work the pain was unbearable. My boss came into my office and found me lying on the floor with my feet up on a chair (the only position I could find to relieve the pain). My boss picked up the phone and called Danielle at BACK TO HEALTH; he explained the seriousness of my situation and she cleared a spot on the schedule for me to come in that day. By the time I got to their office the pain was so intense that just walking to the door made me inadvertently yelp in pain. I was met at the door by Dr. Cox who immediately began making me comfortable and asking questions; he asked my pain level and I told him a 7, when in reality it had to be a nine (I was trying to be tough). The next hour and a half was a blur… A series of tables, machines, stretching, massage and adjustments at the end of which, I stood up straight and didn’t feel pain. I was absolutely certain that after taking a few steps at least some of the pain would return but I made it all the way to my car without feeling the slightest twinge of pain. Here I am six weeks later and I have yet to have any problem in the area I came in for that day. I’m still going back weekly because I like feeling great, but since that first day I haven’t had to go back because of pain. I don’t think that Dr. Cox or his staff could have ever predicted or even hoped for such a fantastic result and I can’t thank them enough. I came to Back To Health last summer after a good friend of mine recommended it for my mid back pain. I have chronic muscle spasms from mild thoracic scoliosis that has been an issue for over 15 years. I have seen other chiropractors in Ocala, but did not continue because of the expense and a different person was treating me each time I went.
