I have practiced family law for over 18 years. I handle all aspects of dissolution of marriage, e.g., property valuation, characterization, and division; marital settlement and prenuptial agreements; child custody and visitation (including move-away cases); child support and spousal support (establishment, modification and enforcement); county child support proceedings; paternity; guardianship; and adoption. I also have a Master's Degree in Social Work with an emphasis in child welfare, and was involved with Child Protective Services and California State Adoptions (as an Adoptions Specialist) for a number of years. My approach to a case is to initially attempt a settlement, as litigation is costly. However, if doing so is not possible, I will litigate the issues to the fullest extent based on the client's authorization, and only after consulting with the client regarding options, possible consequences, and costs involved.
